Accessories Scene: Pre-Fall 2015

Though my mind is still in "spring mode," I couldn't resist posting sumptuous accessories from Charlotte Olympia, Pierre Hardy, Nicholas Kirkwood and more.

Dee Ocleppo embraced treatments this season with leathers featuring hand-painting, embossing and this rose-gold-finish croc leather.

Grace Kelly didn't only inspire Hermès. Mark Cross created a bag that appeared in Hitchcock's "Rear Window" and for pre-fall, reissued these two styles in leather and 18-karat gold-plated brass.

Sergio Rossi creative director Angelo Ruggeri combined giraffe prints and fishnet for a unique graphic motif on shoes and bags.

Paul Andrew developed this toe wall around heeled sandals that gives a platform effect while remaining single-soled.
Nicholas Kirkwood is seeing dots for pre-fall, engraving them in lucite heels and featuring them in flocked velvet on these satin styles.

Cesare Casadei looked back to the work his parents did for their namesake brand in the Sixties and Seventies and gave it a nod to today with these chunky, gem-encrusted-heel pumps.

On a recent trip to Japan, Daniele Michetti took in a Samurai exhibit, which inspired these flats and lace-up boots reflecting details of a warrior's armor.

Sophia Webster found inspiration for these graphic shoes in the early days of No Doubt's Gwen Stefani and the band's love of ska and reggae culture.
Pierre Hardy applied this crystal photograph, which was taken by a scientist under a microscope and then enlarged to show color and detail, to shoes, bags and scarves.

Rupert Sanderson custom-created these Lucite heels with hand-painted gold flocking in both a wedge and an updated block heel for pre-fall.

One comes to expect a grand, overarching theme each season at Charlotte Olympia and the latest, “Mid-Century Art” by masters such as Wassily Kandinsky and Salvadore Dalí, made for both happy shoe shopping and a terrific art history lesson.

Dannijo Shoes: The Snyder sisters are giving an edgy, aggressive slant to bridal with an addition to their newly launched shoe collection that features their signature jewels adorning satin shoe styles.
