Topshop Announces Ciara as New U.S. Brand Ambassador

We've been seeing more of her at  the various fashion events in recent months, as well as modeling (she's a natural!) for various publications. Clearly, she's a woman of many talents. Congratulations Ciara!

On Thursday, UK-based retailer Topshop announced that R&B singer Ciara would be its new brand ambassador for Topshop USA.

Ciara posted a photo on Instagram with Sir Philip Green, the chairman of Arcadia Group, which owns Topshop and other UK brands such as Miss Selfridge, Burton Menswear, and Dorothy Perkins.

The announcement was made in London at the Fashion Retail Academy’s 10th anniversary awards ceremony. Ciara was on hand to present an Outstanding Alumni Award.

She wore a sleek black leather kimono by Topshop and and Paul Andrew Matrix sandals in matte black python.

The singer’s boyfriend, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, took to Twitter to congratulate her.

“Congrats!” he wrote. “@Topshop couldn’t pick a more dynamic woman!”

In November 2014, Topshop opened its second location in New York City on 5th Avenue, making it the brand’s second largest flagship in the world behind the London Oxford Circus location, which according to the brand sees over 250,000 visitors a week.

In addition to apparel and accessories, Topshop offers a wide range of shoe styles from heels to sandals to booties to sneakers, all priced under $280. Details have not yet been provided on what Ciara’s new role will entail, but we can only imagine there will be plenty of the brand’s trendy footwear involved.
